Fly

Last night there was a horse fly in my kitchen. I was on the brink of killing it when it occurred to me that I didn't have to. Instead I slid open my kitchen door and the fly flew out.

It was one of very few Buddhist moments in my life.

A lucky man

I have always loved Hidden Lake the most. Yes, it is slightly cliche, being it's the main object of the most popular trail in Glacier National Park, but I cannot help the way I feel. Like a happily married man, - surely he is intellectually aware there are women who may be more aesthetically pleasing than his wife. But when in all her splendor, she is always the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.

Hidden Lake is my most precious place, and to her I have been a faithful husband.

Approaching the weekend, otherwise known as LIFE SUPPORT

Thursdays are so hopeful. Just a few more hours before I can say TGIF. :)

Well, last night was my first night at home in a little while and I spent it watching a Ken Burns documentary on Lewis & Clark and the Corps of Discovery, which is fascinating and beautiful. It was our last night with Sage the pitbull - (my ex-bf's dog & he's picking her up today). We'll miss her but I'll be happy to have the bed to myself and plastics unchewed in the living room.

Girls night on Friday, birthday party on Saturday, movie night on Sunday, and OFF on Monday.

Can't wait to watch the rest of Lewis & Clark...I have become obsessed with the West. Hehe - I love accidental rhymes :)

the beginning

Well, as I sit and attempt to conjure up an interesting first-post, I realize how very little I have to contribute to the blogging world. I'm just a young mom with a mediocre job...I don't know what to write about. I certainly won't travel through Julia Child's cookbook since someone already did that. My life seems interesting enough until it's time to publish it. :)

Since I'm at a loss, I'll give you this picture I took and call it a day:
